My shark pressure washer pump would not build pressure anymore. The pump needed re-built which would cost way more than just buying a new pump. I purchased this pump because of the cost compared to the others. I simply unbolted my old pump and put this one on. I had to go to Lowes and buy a thread-on pressure hose adapter for $10. The pump does not come with one. (They can be found with the pressure washers at Lowes) I also had to bend my handle on the pressure washer frame slightly because this pump was a bit shorter than the old one. The hose connection fell right where the frame was. This pump worked like a CHAMP!! I have used it only twice so far.

I used this water pump as a replacement on an older Craftsman pressure washer. Model number, 580.767300. Using a Briggs and Stratton 6.5hp engine, rated at 2400psi, 2.2GPM. The new pump is rated at 3000psi, so I've got a little more water pressure than before.

I used this to replace my Dewalt pump on a Honda powered pressure washer. This worked great. I could not tell the PSI was less than the original. I would buy again.

at the price it's the best alternative to buying a new pressure washer, To rebuild your original pump, the parts alone will cost as much as this pump, plus your time and labor and it may not work when you finish, if you're a shade tree mechanic

I guess I didn't realize how far my old one had degraded. Once I popped this bad boy on I had more pressure than I realized this machine was even capable of.
