No Lifetime Warranty as Pictured Box would Imply & Seller is Silent on
My main reason for buying Ridgid was the lifetime warranty. Was unaware you cannot activate the lifetime warranty unless bought through Home Depot. While cheaper I would have paid the Home Depot upcost knowing the batteries alone would cover the additional cost & will definitely need to be replaced in the near future. Where was Rigid all my Life?
I purchased this drill to have the ability to drill 1/2 inch holes in treated 6X6 fence posts and to drive 2 1/2 inch screws through the fence pickets into the treated 2X4 runners. After my first use to drill the 1/2 inch holes through the 6X6 I knw=ew I had made the correct purchase. The drill had no trouble driving the spade bit into and through the 6X6. No stalls on this project. Next, I moved up to 5/8 inch holes in another 6X6. The drill did stall a few times, but it pushed the spader bit through the 6X6 with little effort. I can't wait to begin hanging the fence pickets as the screws should be a simple task. for the drill. This drill has made a Ridgid tool person of me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
