I'm Lucky!
The control buttons (Play, FF,Rew, Stop,and Pause) are broken loose and non-functioning. Fortunately 30+ yrs ago Sony was a client and I accumulated a good assortment of Sony remote controls and found one that allows me to control the VCR. The Video heads and tape guides were out of alignment. I was able to re-align them and have acceptable picture quality. This 8mm VCR is very important to me as I have 60-70 tapes that have my 2 children from birth to high school!
