    Worth the Effort to Learn a little Cisco IOS

    Admittedly a heavy duty industrial switch like this is over-kill for my home network. The cost was less than most all unmanaged, 24-port, new, 1 gig switches, and I get to play around with Cisco IOS. A separate VLAN for a PC and streaming tv in my man cave made the effort well worthwhile. I suspect if the house falls down this tank will still be intact.

    Good price but old IOS version

    This switch appears to have been pulled directly from a production environment and was very dusty externally and internally. When first powered on, a huge cloud of dust was blown out from the fan. The most disappointment was that even though it claimed "IOS 15.0" in the item title, the switch was received with IOS 12.2. However, for the price you can't really go wrong with buying this switch.
