Just didn't trip my trigger...
This movie had real potential and great possibilities with the story line idea, but at times the story and the writing seemed weak and somewhat undeveloped. Other times, I felt like they were trying to somewhat emulate 'The Great Wall' ...(a good movie!) but this one just didn't trip my trigger. Some of the acting/actors didn't suit their roles very well, which to me, hugely affected my whole perception of the overall movie. One was rather corny I thought, and his acting and dialog throughout, made the movie feel downright cheesy at times. There were lots of good special effects that were cool to see, but overall, I would rate it only a 'B' movie, because the story line and acting could have been so much better! Arnold and Jackie only play limited roles in this, but Jackie shows some real moves and action near the end. Sadly, you can tell Arnold's getting older, and his action sequences were less than I expected...but the writing and dialog for his character should have been so much better too, and he could have played a much more active role. All in all, this movie should have been so much better than it is, and it felt to me as though it was rushed through production, just to make some quick money. And that's too bad, because it could have been so much more.
