Only a deterrent, not a complete solution.
Be assured mole thumpers are only a deterrent and will not immediately eliminate mole activity. Placement and consistency are key, but they do help and can discourage moles from moving into new areas. I use these with traps and they do help. Just don't expect overnight success.
