Amazing sound quality, but very low volume. Have to return it.
Everything about this is pretty much positive, but unfortunately I have to return it. It boasts larger 50mm speakers I believe, but no matter what I do, the sound and mic sound are very low. I have the another pair of Razor brand head phones, and they have good sound. I use them in my online game with volume at level 30. These higher level, supposedly professional level headphones, boasting 50mm speakers, have to have the sound turned up to 100 for me to even communicate with my co-players. Avoid at all costs.
Pros: They look awesome & the features sound great on the web page. Cons: Most miserable rats nest of software & a lousy headset on top of it. Seriously, this software is so convoluted & unnecessarily complicated I could not get rid of it fast enough. 1. The headset themselves, actually have a poor fit. When wearing they're tight on top of the ear, and almost not touching at the bottom of your ear, making for a very poor noise-canceling/audio-quality experience. It's actually pretty upsetting for a whole host of reasons. They feel as if they're going to fall off or slide at any second. You find yourself moving or sitting in a certain way to compensate. They just don't even remotely seal around your ear so you get a load of sound bleed. I wanted to make sure it wasn't this model etc, so I went out and tried on a set of nari ultimate, same thing. Very disappointing since I know I'll never buy the haptic set now. 2. To "free up ram" it temporarily uninstalls other drivers, so if these are plugged in or the software is running, things like your printer etc will be invisible to your pc. And when trying to close the headset's many programs thru control panel, it comes back as fast as you can click, also infuriating. 3. Software slows down pc or locks up pc for 20-30 seconds at a time. 4. There are too many places to adjust volume on these things, so you're constantly looking for the right switch or wheel. 5. After fiddling a little I got them working relatively well, then i either plugged them in or launched disc/game in the wrong order and until the day they went in the box to get returned- the game volume came thru my tv & disc came thru the headset. After this one occurrence, No matter what output setting I messed with in any menu of any program, i could not correct it. Overall this was the worst headset I've ever owned. Could not return fast enough. It was an infuriating product rather than one that just worked marginally well. Bought a Logitech G935 on black friday sale from best buy for 10 bucks more, and am extremely happy with them. Corsairs are also one of the best fitting headsets in my experience. I really like the headset there is nothing wrong with it, it's all in great condition the only thing is that it doesn't have a box but that doesn't matter because everything that is in the box comes in the packaging so I highly recommend you get the headset.
