It caused extra work due to no threads.
There were no threads for the screws to fasten it on. The screws were to go through holes in the opener, and screw into the top plate to hold it in place. I ended up drilling them bigger and using bolts with nuts to fasten it. It would seem a small task to make threaded holes like the old one. However, the holes were in the right place. Works absolutely perfect with my garage door opener. I didn't even have to make any adjustments to the up or down control screws on the side of the opener. Swapped out part in less than 10 minutes.
