The Way is a 2012 movie from the United States, directed by Emilio Estevez. It is a drama based on a life-altering tragedy in the life of an American doctor named Tom. Martin Sheen plays Tom, whose adult son (Emilio Estevez) is killed in a storm while walking the Way of St James. In order to honor his son’s dream, Tom (an inexperienced trekker) attempts to continue the historical pilgrimage. On his way, he makes three new friends whose company and ideologies change his perception of life. The Way is an inspiring drama about life in general, the challenges we face and the friends we make while attempting to fight our battles. It is a 123-minute DVD that features action, tragedy and love. It is a sweet-bitter story that the whole family can enjoy together. However, viewers should use discretion, because it is a PG-13 film. The Way stars Emilio Estevez, Martin Sheen, Yorick van Wageningen, Deborah Kara Unger, James Nesbitt, and Tchéky Karyo. It is produced, directed and written by Emilio Estevez. The DVD is in English.
