A Corporate Tragedy: The Agony of International Harvester Company by Barbara Marsh Dust jacket missing. First edition. Shelf and handling wear to cover and binding, with general signs of previous use. Internally clean. Secure packaging for safe delivery.
If you had any connection with the International Harvester story you must read this book. There are very few books that tell the story of the company from the early days till the hammer fell. I think the author had some insight into why decisions were made that caused a Fortune 500 company to collapse. I read this book first when it was a new book and now have collected two copies. I enjoy reading the story more than I enjoyed living it. Our family had an IH dealership from 1954 until 1988. The collapse of IH was a day to day slide to doom. If it had happened over night it would have been more merciful. I have always wondered why this book did not go back into print. The demand is there but the books are not plentiful and bring a good high price. Enjoy your book.
