Have not yet tried a project, but thrilled to see patterns and clear instructions for a sewing kit, a hassock (ottoman/footstool/big squishy square to sit or put your feet on), slippers, curtains, and lots of others items of all sizes and uses. One favorite: "Big Soft Spheres"; I can totally see these as pincushions, or even pumpkins with a stem stuck in the top. The instructions are easy to follow, and there is something for every skill level. The author gives great advice on types of thread, needles, and stitches to use, and how to make sure your hard work doesn't fall apart. We are on one income and I am a total klutz with machines, so buying a sewing machine is not possible right now. I am so happy that this book gives easy to follow ways to make things I thought I never would be able to.
i was not impressed by the projects given.,,,
the cover shows a wonderful set of rice bags and i was hoping it would be more projects similar to give as gifts..
