    Worth the money.

    There are a lot of games on the console hard drive itself such as Sonic the Hedgehog series (except Sonic3), Mortal Kombat 1,2 and 3, and others I recognize from my childhood which is a huge plus. However there are around 20 games that are cheap slap together games that I would've played on Window 95 back in the day. I look past that because yes you can play the old Genesis cartridges on this platform. The picture quality is good, the control response is excellent. Having said that you can plug in the old controllers from the Genesis but it comes with two 6-button wireless controllers that only require AAA batteries. I have using the wireless controllers and have had no issues at all. The only other downfall is the sound from the cartridges are not the same. I played Sonic 2 on the hard ...

    Part of the slot broke during opening the item. The game itself works, but I can't give it as a gift with a broken piece on it even though it doesn't affect the installed games. I will keep it at home for the great grandkids to play.

    Good, old school fun!

    I had been looking for a good deal on one, and glad I found it! It plays really well, and has a lot of good games built in. Main annoyances are 1) the controllers have to be aimed directly at the box to work, 2) not HDMI 3) sound quality isn’t great/exactly same as original. I’d recommend it and I enjoyed playing it
