FiiO BTR17 Bluetooth 5.4 USB DAC AMP with LDAC, aptX Lossless. This allows for enhanced performance and lower power consumption. The result is a richer musical experience with a purer sound background.
I am very new to hifi audio, but wanted to have a portable headphone DAC/Amp. I did a little research and came upon this one. I really like the fact that it is bluetooth so it eliminates the need for a physical cable to connect it to your phone. The sound is good and it comes with alot of features to help you dial the sound in further. There is a feature called Desktop Mode, that if you connect it directly to a power source, istead of using the internal battery, it will boost the volume! It really works!
I am currently using it with my Hifiman Sundara headphones, and it is enought to power them. I soon will by using it with a pair of IEMs I just ordered for when I am outside of the home like while on walks, or washing the car, things like that. I also use it in my car with an AUX cable and it kicks butt!
What this device does, it does well. It can receive BT from any audio device and you can plug earphones in it, or use it as a PC DAC. Sadly, I already had an internal sound card for my PC, I wanted something that I could plug to USB and use as a BT transmisor for my wireless headphones, but I misunderstood what this did, that's on me.
