You'll LOVE this Paperwhite.
It's the berries! Adjustable brightness, adjustable font size, opens to the last page read after swiping to unlock. Easy to hold, page turning with a touch on the right side of the page took a little getting used to as I was swiping, you don't swipe. I registered it to my account, it's my husband's new kindle, he didn't have a kindle, was reading mine. By registering it to my account, all of my books appear on the new one. It's great. Won't know how long the battery lasts until we go camping without electric...for now I just plug it in if it's lying around and I'm hooking up cell phones for the night. It has gone days without being charged. Sorry I can't give a better answer on the battery life, but it's surely adequate for anyone with electricity. My 7th Generation Kindle Review
- This is my 4th Kindle. I'm in the military and currently deployed, so I did not want to get a new unit. I lost my 3rd Kindle, and did not want to risk the same with a new unit. When I saw this 7th Generation Kindle I knew that it would fit the bill. Reviews gave its screen and the 8th Generation screen the same reviews. I don't need waterproofing out here in the desert. - The backlit screen is a nice option. I have it turned down to save the battery, but it was adequate. With it turned down the battery life is very good. - The unit has "auto updated" its operating system a couple of times. I hope this will not become an issue. Are there really several updates, or are the updates not "taking"? I'm going to guess the first, because the unit operates flawlessly. - This unit came with a genuine Kindle case. It fits perfectly, of course, and makes the unit feel sturdy...like it is in an "Otterbox" type of case. It is heavier than my previous Kindle with its 3rd-party case. Great for being a Used Product
Overall, buying a kindle is a great purchase. Truly worth the cost for an amazing reading experience. The kindle paperwhite 7th gen is a suitable kindle, better than spending more for the newest version. Specifically for this item (being used and such) is amazing! The quality was overall like new, with a view scratches on the border and a small knick on the screen (which is not visible unless closely observed). It also came with a black amazon case which is greatly appreciated and unexpected.
