Sennheiser refers to the cardioid pattern of the e945 as a super-cardioid pickup. The super-cardioid pattern provides powerful background sound rejection while collecting a warm, natural, transparent sound from the intended source. Because of its clear and accurate fidelity, this mic can be used to capture voice, guitar, or other instruments and is at home on the stage in the hands of a lead singer or in the recording studio in front of a background singer wearing headphones. The handheld Sennheiser e945 dynamic cable professional microphone has a wide frequency response and uses technology that delivers consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures and environmental changes. The Sennheiser e945 has a frequency response of 40 to 18,000 hertz at a nominal impedance of 350 ohms. This wide range allows the Sennheiser e945 mic to pick up subtle variations of tone and pitch, which makes it a valuable vocal performance tool. The shock-mounted capsule gives the Sennheiser e945 dynamic mic a low sensitivity to handling and impact noise. This microphone also features a Hum Compensating Coil that reduces electrical interference and helps to provide a clean, clear sound. The Sennheiser e945 dynamic cable professional microphone also has a neodymium ferrous magnet with boron. This magnet keeps the microphone stable regardless of climate or indoor temperature. The e945 dynamic cable professional microphone is made in Germany. The mic is 47 mm by 186 mm and weighs 365 grams without accessories. Accessories included with the Sennheiser e945 are a protective pouch, carrying and storage case, and 1 MZQ 800 microphone clip to mount the mic on a stand or other gear.     Just as I expected

    I sing in a live band setting with other vocalists and I've been trying out different brands of microphones since I have the softest voice (or I like to sing in soft tones). I've tried a lot of microphones and my favorite was the Neumann KMS104 for it's clarity and volume. I know it's a condenser and I'd prefer a dynamic mic for live performances and also, it's expensive so I looked for another mic using the Neumann as my standard. I've tried almost everything in the low budget dynamic range (under $200) the EV ND967 was close to what I was looking for in a dynamic mic but it looks weird with the flat part. Finally tried a Senn #835 and it's not bad and continued with Senn evolution series until I settled for the e945. Granted a little tweaking on the eq will help with the low ...

    Sennheiser E945 the best Microphone in the world!!

    This is best Mic I've ever had...prior had Shure beta 58 and also do have a shure beta 58 headset...also on stage I've used my partner's shure beta 87 wireless and I can tell the strong difference in sound between the shure beta's and this Sennheiser E945. This is the best microphone for a female vocalist...I as musician/recording artist strongly recommend this Sennheiser E945 Microphone rated #1 for female vocalist. It makes me sound like a million dollars when I sing "My Heart will go on" or my record "End of the world" I sound like a million dollars...It is the best microphone period!!!

    Excellent Mic!!

    The e945 is a Supercardioid pattern microphone. Meaning you do not want your monitor pointed directly at the back of the mic. It also rejects any surrounding sounds that are next to you (Drummer, guitar amp, etc.), sing or speak directly into the microphone for very clean, clear, cut through the mix vocals. The Sennheiser eXXX series are some of the best feedback rejection mics on the market and the choice of many professional musicians doing live shows. I have used AKG, Blue, Shure (58, beta 58, beta 87), EVs and I can honestly say, in side by side testing (literally, mute & switch mics) in to a high end PA system, Sennheiser e945 (or e935 if you need a different polar pattern), are the best sounding, best feedback mics on the market!

    SM58 ... step aside ... E945 is fabulous!

    What a difference a mic makes! The lead vocalist in my band has the predecessor to the E945, and it’s always sounded amazing ... so I took a chance ... and upgraded from my Sure SM58 to the Sennheiser E945. I’m very happy I did! Crisp, clear, full bodied vocals with zero feedback, yet high output, in a setting that could easily be a feedback nightmare. So glad I took the dive!

    Going in My Arsenal~

    Gave it a Maiden Voyage last Night for Labor Day, Nice intimate concert Out side (Over looking a Lake, Very beautiful I might add...) I used a small 12 channel MACKIE Mixing board and set everything at Unity to start. After some tedious tweeking, without over laiden equalization, I found this MIC Delivers. Punchy without the "P" Very clean an Full Sound. The Pick-Up field is much smaller than I am used to, but that's on Me. Overall, The Price was Fantastic, this Microphone is going in My Arsenal~ Very Satisfied.
