I have a quarter acre and used 6 batteries 2 batteries are not enough. I have other worx tools and have extra batteries. Definitely you will need more batteries.

The batteries took a full 2 hours to charge but I was able to cut my entire yard and still had plenty of charge left. My yard is very large, and it cut the grass pretty well but it does not come close to the power a gas mower can produce. I am curious to see how it performs during the summer when our grass is taller and thicker. But for the price this is a good performing battery lawn mower.
