    Worked perfectly fine

    My Macbook 17" had the issue with the graphics chip as most macbook pro's do or did. It requires reheating and resealing the chip using the heat gun, but I had no heat gun and no guaranty that the procedure would solve the problem. I decided to exchange the board with another board that had the newer nvidia graphics chip. The repair outfits repair your board for $125-$130, but exchange outfits do it for a bit higher, about $150. I chose the BRICKFACE outfit as the price was right, it was local (California) and had good reviews. Also, exchange meant that no "repair" time was necessary. The exchange board arrived faster than I thought (4-5 days round trip) even though they had to receive my broken board before they shipped theirs. It look brand new, clean and shiny.
