Even though it's a re-furb, I couldn't tell the difference from a new piece. Beautiful condition. The sound blew me away immediately. Running through a McIntosh preamp and amp to Ohm Walsh Tall 2000's and the sound has more depth in the instrumens, bottom is fuller and top end is clear. Great soundstage. I'd highly recommend this unit.

It was returned for a full refund, grateful to Cambridge Audio for processing the return quickly and with no hassle. They are a great company and make great stuff, but stuff breaks sometimes, just the way it goes. The player looked brand new and had great original packaging. I don't think I'll purchase another refurb from them, but will still consider their open box items.

PLEASE don't hesitate from purchasing these as "refurbished" as I received a pair - one has a SLIGHT scratch on the bottom while I'm scratching my head on the other being classified this way. They're packaged WELL using bubble-wrap, individual boxes then a shipping box lined with paper to stabilize the shipment! WAY to go Cambridge Audio USA, taking care of the customer.
