The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster has more funtionality than previous routers. With the Linksys WRT54GS; you can connect Wireless-G, Wireless-B, and other SpeedBooster devices to the network supported by built-in Speedbooster software. Your wired Ethernet devices can be networked via the built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch. This all-in-one functionality is then combined thanks to the router function, allowing your entire network to share a DSL of high speed cable Internet connection. When running a mixed network of SpeedBooster and regular Wireless-G devices, the it gives you a significant boost in performance. This wireless G router supports WEP, WPA, WPA2, and 802.1x wireless security protocols.

    Excellent router for new applications

    This router is supported by some projects because of it's design and large amount of flash memory. While not particularly useful today, due to it's G speeds, it is excellent for hobbyists and those building various types of networks.

    Disappointed

    Bought to replace failed WRT54G, V3 The V7 version Speedbooster Software included doesn't run with WIN 7 PRO. Went to Linksys for Win 7 compatible software, unsuccessful locating. Managed to configure as Access Point without though poor performing (slow) no matter how I tweaked it. Disappointed with product. Looking for different Access Point.

    Good product

    This used router achieved what I wanted, which was to run credit card machine and internet at the same time. Since I didn't have the software, I contacted Linksys directly, and they charged me a small fee for connecting to their router. All in all, it was worth it.
