If you're like me, this is a very expensive lens. I shoot night activities, so the F4 comes in really handy. It's focus is very sharp, and it gives shutter speeds that allow me to shoot with a lower ISO number and still get the shot I'm looking for. Also, it's remarkably compact and light for its focal length. It is expensive, but to me, it's worth it.

Sharp lens, takes beautiful pictures-The reach is special 450mm on crop sensor, being able to get closer to my subjects is a plus. Light weight I can carry this around all weekend without hand fatigue, VR is perfect, don't it if shooing high shutter. My favorite now.

You get what you pay for with this amazing lens. Cannot believe how small and light it is. Almost like using my old 180mm 2.8. Produces super sharp photos, focuses fast and quiet. Well worth the money.

I really like this lens. It vey light, very small compared to its predecessors and just as sharp. It great for street candids, shooting from out of a crown of tourists or shooting to capture a bride and groom from a distance. It's so compact that you'll hardly notice it in your bag. It does feel a bit plastic; but it is so easy to shoot hand-held. Add the TC-14 I, II, or III; and you can capture images that are just as sharp as if you did not have the Teleconverter attached.

I've been using a Sigma 120-300mm f:2.8. Great lens, but big and heavy. I bought this as an alternative. It hasn't left my Nikon D500! It's sharp and easy to handle. Very happy so far. The attached photo- I saw that the moon was up, grabbed my camera, and shot hand held.
