This is a carbon steel wok made in China. It has a round bottom so needs a wok ring to use on a regular kitchen stove. I use a Sunny brand cast iron stove burner wok grate. I wanted a wok that a oriental person would buy and use. This would be it. It would be best seasoned outside using a barbecue grill instead of inside. Since it rained here for about 3 days I did mine inside with windows open and the ceiling fan on, etc... and managed. I used lard. I would coat the inside and outside with lard and then move the wok so each portion of the outside rested over the stove's flame long enough to turn black. Keep repeating the process of spreading lard then burning until the wok is black like the instructions which came with it said to do.

And surprisingly light for its size. Wooden handle well made. Remember to ‘cure it’ as in stated the directions and always wipe it dry after washing it. It is not made of rust-roof material.
