Stellar showcase of the innovation people employ at times to get games on hardware they have no business on!

This is an interesting game for retro gamers to pick up. Just like on the Super Nintendo, Sega experimented with 3D polygon graphics by 1994, but instead of adding a Super FX chips to games, Sega simply made the cartridges huge. So while the game looks like a black monolith from 2001 rising from your Genesis, it plays pretty well. The graphics are pretty raw, clearly early 3D, but the game is certainly playable. Drawbacks would be you can only select one car that I've found, and music only plays after passing a checkpoint. Biggest benefit to this game is a 2-player mode.
You are going to need to practice if you want to even be able to finish a race let alone win it. If you mess up too many times you won't be able to finish the race. So memorization is must so you can know when to brake and when to accelerate.

With it's powerful (for the time) Sega Virtua Processor, and good music, this game should be a part of any true Sega fan's collection. Simply one of the best racing games ever made.
