Product Information

A small boy is sent away from his village. He is to be trained as a samurai warrior and return to fight the evil shape-sifter, Aku, who has wreaked havoc throughout the village. His skills honed, the warrior attempts a return to his home, but winds up in a future time landscape. Here, the locals call the stranger, a sort of Dirty Harry kung fu loner, "Jack" and assist him in his path homeward. This is the original feature length presentation that kicked off the SAMURAI JACK phenomenon on the Cartoon Network.

    Samurai jack movie

    Was not happy with movie when i got it. Ordered it brand new and the case is worn and rough looking and the movie itself has scratches all over it. Not suppose to look that way when ordered brand new.

    Back to the past...

    A great series. Beginning with this very stylish origin movie. The great background art draws one in (no pun intended) to a world where honor, love and sacrifice are virtues to strive for. Not bad, for an animated cartoon. Not bad at all.

    probably not worth it if you buy the complete series on DVD/BRD

    if you get the entire series on DVD/BR you get this movie, I believe it is the equivalent of the first 3 episodes.
