About this product

Product Information

The third game in the Worms series is the first for the Dreamcast. Worms: Armageddon pits squads of well-armed, wiggly worms in a fight to the death on 2D, fully destructible battlefields. One player can take on AI-controlled teams in a deathmatch or through 30 missions. There is also a multi-player mode for up to four players to battle it out with customized teams of worms. Since the game is turn-based you can have four players share one controller.

The battlefields feature all kinds of themes, from junkyards to bomb shelters. Most battlefields typically consist of a number of platforms to move between. Players take turns with each turn having a time limit. Across the battlefield animated worms will move (with the help of gadgets like bungee cords and ninja ropes) and assault each other with more than 55 weapons, including bazookas, napalm, exploding sheep, baseball bats, and singing hand grenades.

Dozens of extra features are included, such as a library of worm voices to choose from, six training modes, customizable landscapes, and even the ability to save your favorite teams and battlefields.

  • Worms Armageddon, have fun with your worms

Worms Armageddon is another game featuring the delightfully flammable worms characters. The game follows the suit of those that came before it as a turn-based strategy experience. Your goal is to protect your gaggle of worms against the opponents by using any number of ridiculous weapons (I'm looking at you super banana bomb). Armageddon has come out on several different systems including the PC and the Playstation. Out of all the versions I believe the PC version is superior due to its ability to customize teams with a bit more detail. Having said that, the Dreamcast version of this game comes very close to the PC counterpart and is a worthy experience alone or with friends. The graphics in the game are very animated and fluid, with some minor slowdown sprinkled throughout the experience. ...

  • a great port of a really fun PC game!

this is the first time i heard of this game, and i found out the n64 port is more expensive then the DC or even the PS1 version. anyways, you can get this game on Steam, but if you want a console version, i definitely recommend the Dreamcast version, its the closest to the original PC version. its a great single player game, but the real deal of this game is 4 player multi player. i'll be planning to get the n64 version soon, but if you have a Dreamcast, definitely pick this up.

  • This game rocks

There is something about killing worms with banana bombs that just never seems to get old. If you have never played a worms game, you are in charge of a team of 4 worms, that must stratigically use silly weapons to eliminate the worms on the other teams. This is so much fun, as the worms talk and the maps are randomly generated. The war gets even better as you bring friends along. There is a alot of depth to the single player to keep you busy for a long time. A must buy.

  • Great Party Game

This game is awesome when you gather up some buddies. We've had tournaments and stuff surrounding this game. There's just something so very addictive about strategically blowing up your friends with a huge arsenal of weapons.

  • Very fun game.

I don't really play video games anymore but I loved this one in college so I picked it up. Very fun and amusing game.
