About this product

Product Information

Project X Zone features a crossover of epic proportions, as the characters from Sega, Namco Bandai, and Capcom join forces to stop a growing threat. In the year 20XX AD, a stone has been stolen from a prestigious family. This stone allows members of the evil organization who took it to cross dimensions. The group will use this power to enlist the help of dangerous villains to take over creation. As Mii Kouryuji and Kogoro Tenzai, you'll need to search both time and space to recover the stone. Project X Zone for the Nintendo 3DS was developed by Monolith Soft. It was published by Namco Bandai and had a release date of 2013 in North America. This first game in the series features over 90 fighters from 40 different franchises. On the Capcom side, you'll find heroes from Resident Evil, Mega Man, and Street Fighter. Bandai Namco will bring fighters from Tekken and Tales of Vesperia. SEGA is represented by combatants from games like Virtua Fighter and Sakura Wars. You'll fight against some of the worst villains these companies have to offer as Astaroth, Skeith, Lord Raptor, and Vile all join forces to stop you. Project X Zone uses combatants from both newer video games and retro classics. Whatever your favorite game from these three companies is, you'll most likely find it represented here.Gameplay in Project X Zone on the 3DS revolves around turn-based combat on a grid. During your turn, you can move your fighters, attack enemies, and heal your team. Fighters are typically grouped into pairs based on their respective games. For example, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter are on one team. Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil are also on a team. As you defeat foes, you will level up your fighters. Each level brings more health, greater attack power, and increased defense. However, not every fighter in this Namco 3DS game is part of a pair. Some fighters are so powerful that they enter the field as solo units. In battle, you'll press buttons to deal more damage to foes and guard yourself against attacks. This strategy game relies just as much on positioning as raw power. Even the strongest fighters can get overwhelmed if they are surrounded by enemies. If you find that one strategy isn't working, you can retry a map. This video game features over 30 maps and will take the average gamer around 30 hours to complete. The X-Zone Limited Edition features some physical bonuses you can only get in this version. A miniature art book collects promotional artwork used to advertise the title. The game's soundtrack collects more than 10 of the best songs ripped directly from the title. The miniature poster is a replica of the game's cover and easily attaches to any surface. Lastly, this edition features an exclusive cardboard case that houses all of these items. Project X Zone for the Nintendo 3DS received a rating of T from the ESRB. This rating was due to fantasy violence, mild swearing, mild use of blood, and references to alcohol.

    Fantastic!

I love this game, I had to sell my firsthand copy because it was damaged in the move to our new house. Excellent graphics, tons of dialogue and lots of crossovers for Capcom lovers! I never get tired of playing as 'Dead Rising's Frank West, with Hsien-Ko from 'Darkstalkers' of course. I highly recommend it to any fan of Capcom, Sega or Namco franchises. Its a real good crossover.

  • Great game from Capcom and for 3DS

Love the game and how they merged all the different universes from Capcom. I've spend a good amount of hours on this game already. Waiting to finish it so I can play the second one. Worth every single penny.

  • Fun and addictive

If you like animation, and played games for awhile. All these characters are popular and they all comes together in a fun and simple srpg style with great musics from each popular games. It's a great collection to have especially those musics that brings back the memories. Those games are sequels for decades since the NES and PS1. I game must have in your collection and it's very addictive yet simple. It brings back the good time of 2D animation. Perfect for anyone to spend 30 mins on it and you'll be hook.

  • Fantastic Strategy/RPG right here. Definitely worth every penny.

This game is A-MA-ZING!! A ton of characters from the Capcom, Namco Bandai, and Sega games, it's a fantastic crossover game! When I heard about this title, I knew I had to get it. It's so good. Being a fan of strategy RPGs, I couldn't refuse this game, and I'm so glad I didn't. What I loved about Project X Zone was the amazing and unique battle system. Working in Paired Units with so many attack combinations was so exhilarating! Everything is so addicting, from the gameplay to the soundtrack, it's a A+++ title! With its unique, yet very satisfying gameplay and battle system, it sets it apart from traditional strategy RPGs. But other than that, it's a stellar title which I strongly recommend.

  • A one of a kind, brilliant melange of many legendary video game worlds

This game is a one-of-a-kind, expansive, true treat for anyone familiar with the variety of video game worlds (street fighter, devil may cry, xenosaga, mega man, and many MANY more) included in this brilliantly-executed strategy rpg. I've loved playing it from opening to finish and the use of extensive button-mashing that is completely original for each character in lieu of simple button commands is a truly intuitive feature. HIGHLY recommended!
