About this product

Product Information

The Virtual Boy's first and only golf game features an 18-hole course at the fictitious Papillion Country Club. Choose either stroke or tournament play, with the latter pitting you against 47 computer players as you compete for the best total score. Before you hit the links, register your golfer's name so your stats can be saved to one of seven slots. The game will automatically save your best shots and track stats in the following eight categories: longest drive, nearest to pin, average score, longest putt, number of victories, pars or better, longest chip, and fairways driven. Shots are initiated by navigating through a series of icons and reading the swing meter. Choose your club, adjust your stance, determine the power, and set the ball impact point, all while taking into account the direction and strength of the wind.

I received a damaged box. The seller had just posted presumably the nicest condition item as the listing image. It's pretty dishonest to do that. Relevant images of any variation of condition should be included. I also wouldn't consider what I got to be in "very good" condition.

I didn’t expect much from this transaction/ seller. Advertised as like new but maybe decent / good to acceptable condition with label flaws. Therefore not as advertised. Seller takes one picture and has no details behind flaws so issues so cosmetic issues don’t always show up. I sent an email about another product I was interested in but never got response so just bought this one. Comes off as lazy. Shipped fast , game works. I will leave positive based on that.

  • Mario Clash: The OTHER Mario game.

First I would like to say that this is basically a sequel to the original Mario Bros game from 1982. The levels have 2 layers of depth. Your play area is on the foreground and background. The goal is to clear all the enemies off each screen, then you'll progress to the next level. It's one of the best games on the Virtual Boy with a nice 3D effect, but the lack of side scrolling levels might be a turn off for some players. Also note that the Virtual Boy displays only in shades of red on a black background.

  • MISSES IT RIGHT

Alright, if you're reading this you most likely don't need a Virtual preface/qualifier. We know it is red and when it came from. That said, VBG stands alone among ALL golf games in certain aspects of strategy and gameplay. The HORROR! Sorry, but it's true. In the age of mega-tech driven $60 games that had benefit of years of golf game refinement, none offer a damage control swing that helps you "miss a shot" to the degree possible by VBG. What I'm talking about is the bail out. Say I need a 210 yard carry to pull off a shot, and I miscalculate and under-swing. It is good to know that I have plenty of time to affix impact to the certain part of the ball that will work it left, right, balloon or sting it. Striking the ball high and right produces a hooking runner if that's what you ...

  • Golf VB

good game bought to sell in collection... kind of makes your eyes hurt (Golf played in all red) GREAT SYSTEM THOUGH MY PERSONAL FAVORITE i suggest anyone to buy these games and collect them.. how often does Nintendo botch a system also made by the man who made Game Boy and died shortly after this launched.

  • Golf for the Virtual Boy

If you are a golfing fan then this is the game for you. Awesome 3d gaming and golf at its finest. You feel as if your on the course at the links ,well maybe not exactly, but it is a good game. 3D graphics and challenging courses will give you lots of fun, when you don't have time for the real thing.
