    PIONEER ELITE DV-09--AN ENGINEERING ICON

    This DVD player, was the flagship for Pioneer in the year 2000. This was their reference top of the line DVD player and even today, 2021 this engineering icon will wipe the slate clean with a lot of modern-day DVD players out there on the market today. The build quality is phenomenal!!! The unit weighs nearly 40 lb and it is definitely not one of your consumer level throw away units that you get from your local convenience store for $29.99. If you are a serious audio file, Like me, I will definitely recommend this unit to be amongst your top of the line reference equipment that you own now.

    Pioneer Elite DV-09

    Good points, great build quality, excellent picture even at standard DVD resolution with no up-scaling, unbeatable sound on DVD, Good to very good sound on CD's. Bad points, will not play CDR's RW's ect., Legato Link conversion should be able to be bypassed, menus are a bit cumbersome. Overall the DV-09 can not be beat at a used price point of 150 to 200 dollars, it will out perform most baseline Blue Ray players.

    A High Quality Player For Those Of Us With Lots OF DVDs

    I’ve used Elite equipment in my home theater since the 80s when my disc player was the LDS-2. My wife had purchased an Elite DVD player but not the flagship DV-09. We used this lesser model, which now resides in our bedroom, for many years and I was happy with its picture and sound, that is until I saw the DV-09! Its picture is drop dead gorgeous and its sound quality is superb. You will see details, depth and subtle colors that you never thought were present in your DVDs and its crystal clear sound will thrill you. Since I have an Elite CD player I do not use my DV-09 to play CDs and therefore the fact that it does not play CD-Rs does not concern me.     Pioneer DV - 09

    This machine is a reference top model of his line during end of nintees. He is great sounding player,picture quality is awesome also. Its a fantastic designed machine,so he can be in your living room for years.Retail use to be almost 2200Usd,thats why is a good deal buy this component on the ebay.Unit is very heavy,about 40pounds.
