If you are tired of only running only an 18 or 10 tooth pinion gear (with special factory adaptor) on your Tamiya RC cars then this is your answer. I mounted this adjustable motor mount on my sons modified Tamiya Hornet and was able to use the 12 tooth pinion that I desired. The fit and finish on this product is second to none and you even get a clear gear cover to monitor gear mesh. The alluminum looks amazing and will also guarantee this part to outlast your RC car. I'm very pleased with this part. I didn't need this because I was changing out my pinion gear but rather because I was missing some parts for my Lunchbox. I'm so glad that I found this upgrade. If you put the motor screws in the opposite way that they are depicted in the picture, then, the aluminum mount will actually hold the nuts in place enough to make adjustments to the gear mesh without taking any parts off the Lunchbox!I'm very pleased with this part.
