    Touring Iceland with Sigur Ros

    I first saw the film Heima at the State Theater in Traverse City, Michigan. As one of the premier art-house theaters in the country, the sights and sounds that flooded my senses that night made it an evening I will never forget. Music documentaries are becoming commonplace these days, but Heima definitely stands out from the rest of the field. As a Sigur Ros fan since their second album, I would have been blown away simply with footage of a Sigur Ros concert. Heima is that, and so much more. Behind the scenes footage and interviews leave you feeling as though you've known the band members for years. The display of the inner workings of Sigur Ros show the hard work that goes into making their magic, and provides some insight as to why their music has captivated an audience from around ...

    Rendered speechless!

    There's no possible way anything I say about this video could justify how outstanding it is. Heima is most certainly one of the best if not the best music video/documentaries I've ever saw. This band is truly amazing, the way they play together and work to create unique sounds is breath-taking. I would definitely recommend this video to any Sigur Ros fan and anyone else who enjoys outside the box music styles.

    Beautifully shot film, excellent soundtrack.

    This movie makes me feel so melancholy. The beauty of the Icelandic areas with the backing music of Sigur Ros is just beautiful. Recommended for anyone, of any age.

    Beauty.

    This is one of the greatest. "Heima" captures the band at its creative peak, while at the same time surrounding the viewer with spectacular landscapes. A true gem.

    Heima: A Film by Sigur Ros

    This dvd really captures the most inovative and original band of the moment at their very best. Musically superb and the arrangements of some of their reworkings show how they are able to vary their artistry. Truly a band enjoying their work and showing how important it is to play live. Although lyrically diverse this doesn't detract from their sound, on the contrary it opens up another glimpse of originality. Anyone who likes good music well performed will enjoy this, and for anyone unaware of this band then this is not a bad place to start. Superb
