Seller Notes: “In my opinion this 1871 quarter is a low grade example of the Super RARE Key Date 1871-S 25c Seated ... “In my opinion this 1871 quarter is a low grade example of the Super RARE Key Date 1871-S 25c Seated Liberty Quarter Dollar, and is in decent About Good (F-AG) circulated condition. Very Hard to see the worn San Francisco mintmark, but with a 10x loope, you can descern the remnants of the very small mintmark. This year had a tiny 's' mintmark, which can easily be overlooked if the coin is in worn low grade condition. As is the case with this coin, the reverse is very worn, and the location of the tiny mintmark is almost completely worn away. You can see the remnants of the upper serif of the tiny 's', and gap between the lower half, which is completely worn down. I have included an example of a PCGS certified example to compare the location and to show the defining points of the remaining mintmark. Extremely Low mintage of ONLY 30k minted, with a much lower survival rate. Don't let this rare opportunity pass you up. This is an attractive example of an unmolested, well circulated coin.”
