The part arrived in better than described condition. To top that the price couldn't be beat. It was a great opportunity to get one step closer to having rare piece of ww2 history back on road.

    What A Great Printer!

As my online businesses grew, I still stuck with the 2 labels per sheet in my ink jet printer setup for waaaay too long, having to crop them with scissors by hand on the smaller packages. I didn't realize how much time that I was wasting, not to mention all the expensive ink cartridges! It was such a pain trying to find the edge to separate the label from the backing, and some of the labels that I bought didn't want to stick as well as they should, so I ended up using Scotch tape on the edges. So I finally broke down and forked over the $$ for the LP 2844. I was a little reluctant because of a couple of reviews that I read about how hard it was to set up, and the fact that it was a discontinued model. Here's my advice: Buy It! The savings on the ink cartridges alone (it's a thermal ...

Cheap way to make professional thermal labels for shipping but very hard to setup

Good way to print shipping labels for cheap however setting it up is a pain in the butt. It is older model and has been discontinue by manufacturer.

  • Zebra with stripes

When I had one of these, it worked well, even with Windows and Mac OSes. However, the shipping software I was using at the time (Stamps.com) did not work with Macs, and the other shipping software program that does work Macs, Endicia, did not have drivers to support this model. Having converted over to exclusively Mac use, it became surplus. Otherwise, despite whatever difference(s) there might be between this model and the one "without the stripes," it is a good value product for its purpose. For a Windows user, requiring a small desktop footprint and relatively low cost and minimal maintenance, it is a great little printer. Drivers and support are readily available online and from the manufacturer.

  • If you ship a lot of stuff, get this now!

This is a great printer at a great price. Mine came nice and clean and works perfect. Setup will be easy as long as you know how to use a computer for more than internet and email. I love this printer. Before getting this printer, I was struggling with labels where ink doesn't stick. These labels come out looking perfect and the print quality isn't affected in transit. I've printed about 500 labels so far and not a single problem. Highly Recommended!

  • Reliable, easy to use and very low cost label printing

Printers should be easy, but they can often be complicated. Specialty printers such as label printers can be a nightmare, with proprietary printer drivers, high cost & difficult to find proprietary ink or toner, etc. The Zebra LP 2844 is as easy as a printer should be. It's ubiquitous, and most operating systems already have the driver for it, making this a plug-and-go printer for USB on Windows, Mac and (my choice) Linux. And there are no difficult to locate consumables. The Zebra LP 2844 prints on thermal labels that are sourced by numerous companies and readily available on eBay. There is no toner or ink. The 4"X6" thermal labels are a bit over a penny a piece (remember, there is no cost for ink or toner) which is a real bargain, and MUCH better than laser printing labels, ...
