Bethesda Softworks' dystopian stealth-action series returns with a new primary location, new superpowers, and a second playable protagonist in Dishonored 2. Set 15 years after the first game, the action moves from the dark, industrial streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, a coastal town where dust-storm addled silver mines in the mountains give way to lush vegetation and a thick atmosphere near the beaches. The story begins when a mysterious being steals the throne from Empress Emily Kaldwin, forcing her and the bodyguard-turned-assassin Corvo Attano to Karnaca to seek justice. The first-person action lets gamers choose how they want to play, and they can complete the entire campaign as either Emily or Corvo. Both characters have a unique blend of weapons and supernatural powers, and players can stop time, teleport short distances, mesmerize foes, and pull objects toward them to achieve their goals through stealth or violence. A new skill tree offers more upgrades and presents multiple paths for some powers, and the Chaos system from the first game returns to once again turn the world into a reflection of the way users play. More killing creates more chaos, increases the number of disturbing bloodflies that nest in corpses, and ultimately affects the conclusion of the game.

Solid game. Worth a couple of play throughs.
Similar to the first dishonored, but more fleshed out, and interesting story. I also like the cast of characters more (both good and bad). The choice to kill or spare the life of certain protagonist is always a nice touch. Leveling up, upgrading weapons and abilities, hidden lore of you want to read through them, and plenty of collectibles are all here. Great 1st play through! Even better with new game +!
There are not many games ever that after beating once I think to myself, lets play that again. This is one of those games. I did the same thing for Dishonored on Xbox 360 back in 2012. My 1st play through of dishonored 2 I played as Emily. I was mostly merciful but still killed a few people here or there. I got the good ending. You don't have to be an absolute angel in this game to get the good ending. Now I'm working on my second play through with new game plus and the experience is even better. I am playing as Corvo this time around and the awesome thing is that you can have the abilities of both characters if you want. You carry over any used runes in your first play through and blue prints. I hear you can have new game ++ or even new game +++ which is awesome because eventually you ... What's that guard, you think my shoes are ugly. Kapow eat time bend with a slice of rats and blood flies and then the cherry on top, use whirlwind to throw you into a wall of light. No one says that about my shoes! Ha ha ha (maniacal laugh). So yah um what I was really get at is play this game. It is awesome no matter what ending you get. Whether you play as Corvo or Emily or as a stealthy pacifist or a maniacal madman. It is pure fun! Do it. Press the add to cart button. It's in the corner. If you find this game too easy, it has multiple difficulties. and you can even tweak gameplay settings as difficult as you want. No hud, no powers, extreme difficulty. There you go. Much more of a challenge. Arkane made this game more realistic in the AI department by having guards notice when other guards are missing or if cabinets are open or smashed. Guards also see better and hear better in this game than the first. You have a wide arsenal of powers and gadgets to accomplish your goals. This game demands patience and an inquisitive mind. Its levels beg to be explored and exploited. I thought the levels were varied very well. One takes place in a district with dust storms. One takes place in a creepy secluded health center. One mission involves seeing into the past and warping in between the past and present. And of course there was the clockwork mansion. One of the coolest levels I've ever played. Dishonored 2 is amazing and it left me in awe. I found dishonored 2 better than dishonored 1. And that was no easy feat. Get this game and if you are like me you won't be disappointed.

The art in this game is unprecedented every level is a masterpiece with unique approaches to all aspects of gameplay. The control requires little to no adaptation but the use of inter-diminsion powers and creative abilities adds a captivating edge. You will find yourself taken aback at how engrossing the gameplay is, not because of the massive amounts of bullets flying out of your firearm or the body count stacking up to achieve a "multi-kill" but rather the games miraculous ability to make you pause and reflect on your next action. Its the first action shooter I have played in a long time where button mashing is the last go to when stuck in a sticky situation. Many sequels are just a repackaging of the original this is a completely new game. Sure, you take on much of the same powers and ... The art in this game is unprecedented every level is a masterpiece with unique approaches to all aspects of gameplay. The control requires little to no adaptation but the use of inter-diminsion powers and creative abilities adds a captivating edge. Can't wait for the new one
This is a great game, I normally only play a game through once, but this one I played through twice. If your going to get the new one that's coming out, Dishonored 3, I would suggest playing this one first. Because the character in 3 has a major tie to this one.
