This Williams / Atlas standard set transformer comes with 80 Watts of AC full sine wave power, separate Accessory voltage control, Horn/ Whistle, Bell and Direction buttons, Power & Overload LED indicators, large track power throttle control, on/off switch and weighs in at a hefty 8 lbs. If you live in Australia you will need to get a stepdown transformer 240v-120v ac and ensure you put the right pins in right holes. The stepdown transformers are available on Ebay at a reasonable cost. Not suitable for straight DC Locos. Designed for Locos that have an onboard ac-dc bridge rectifier circuit installed for 12V DC motors mounted on driving bogies The size is ideal and the sloping front panel is aesthetically appealing The markings on the panel are clear and easy to read. The terminals at the back allow for both track power 18v AC and accessories power. 16v AC A power on switch is installed to turn the unit off. There is also a rotating switch to change from track power to accessories power. The knob is stiff to turn but that's good so you don't speed up locos too quickly and run them off track 80w of power is sufficient for locos with dual motors and rake of lit passenger cars.Read full review
