  • Great book!

I decided to purchase this book due to my mom always telling me how reading stories about people's experience in Vietnam always makes her cry. My mom is south Vietnamese, and her last name happened to be Bui as well. I was also born in Vietnam, and in 1975 my mom had to escape Vietcong coming into Danang. I am half white, and she had to get me out of the country, as she feared for my life. Her struggles and what she had to do to save my life is so amazing. I really can connect with this book on many different levels. Thank you.
