Does exactly what it's supposed to do
This thing is literally a Limbsaver. Hot 45-70 Govt. loads from my Marlin didn't leave a bruise like they used to.The only negative is that the screw holes in the pad didn't line up with the one in my rifle, despite what the package said. but the dimensions were perfect with no grinding needed. However; marking and drilling a pilot hole is no big deal. It would be a little sticky for use on a shotgun, but that isn't an issue for a rifle. Not a great fit.
The recoil is not "precision fit" as the pad is slightly undersized to the stock leaving about an 1/8"-1/16" of exposed stock all the way around on my Rem 870 Police stock. Given the recoil pad is stated to fit several other models, it makes me question if it is a universal model that is not quite exact for any specific one?

Good product have one on my rifle BUT ordered this one for my shotgun Rem 870 wood stock and didn’t fit right and would never fit right so make sure it will fit your gun before you order !!!!!!!!

Worth the money!
I purchased a Model 70 in 300 WSM. Returned from rang with a sore shoulder (light rifle for this cartridge). Purchased a linbsaver, Now I can run several boxes of 208gr. ELD-M running @ 2810fps just off the muzzle!

Great replacement pad.
Perfect fit for my Remington 7615P. Easy attachment, wish screws had been included, had to reuse the old ones. Nice feel to the pad, more 'sticky'/grabby than expected. The old one just slid to my shoulder while this one tends to grab fabric - leads to slightly awkward feel. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars btw.
