    Newer Version of my Older Model

    This unit is lighter and has an improved LCD information screen / menu's compared to my older model which just had simple LED indicated information. And it is now cheaper than my original older model.

    APC uninterruptible power supply SMC1500C 1500 VA review

    The family of APC uninterruptible power supplies in the 1500 VA range seems to be quite large. I chose the SMC1500C Smart Ups because it didn't have expensive options that were not needed but has the run time of a full APC 1500 VA unit with a large battery. I've installed the PowerChute software and the SmartConnect internet software to monitor the unit from anywhere. I've trusted APC uninterruptible power supplies for 20 years with very good results. These new ones have so many features that the old ones didn't have. The SMC1500C is a good value.

    Great unit, very quiet, with a lot of potential

    Really beefy powerful item. Extremely quiet, can't even tell it's on. Nice big digital read out. I'm very impressed with the item! Running two monitors and a server on it and it takes the load quite wonderfully. This is really the only game in town if you want a resilient, robust, UPS for your workstation or office. Very pleased with the purchase.

    Heavy duty great backup.

    I bought this from the printer man without batteries. I got all the information and ordered new batteries and installed them easily according to instructions. I plugged the unit into the wall and it started up immediately, charged the batteries fully and then I plugged in my device that it will provide backup power for. I unplugged the unit from the wall and it immediately switched over to provide power for my device. Great uninterrupted power supply. If you can, buy one for peace of mind during a power failure..Great unit. I intend to buy another for my office.
