Installation straightforward, and works great
Has all the parts needed to install in an older furnace (in my case Rheem furnace from 1993), and installation was pretty easy. Works great with the newer controller card, which requires a flame sensor!! If you are a first-time installer, please note that you pre-thread the holes in the bracket with the screws, then back the screws out and install on the furnace. Works well. New bracket is better then the old sensor location
All I needed was the two little orange wires. I probably could have used the existing flame sensor. I took the original out and installed the new one with the new bracket, it keeps the wires from being anywhere near the flame, the original flame sensor was right under the burner beginnings. It was hard to put the wires in the molex connector. I couldn't get that dang connector to come apart, I just got it half way apart and snapped the top wire in and snapped the bottom wire in and then closed the half opened molex. IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS
Good product and works as described. One important thing to note is the instructions for some units indicate you need to tie it into the negative lead of the hot surface ignitor circuit. Mine also had a universal control board with a separate lead for flame sense that would not work in this configuration. Removing the connection to the HSI and running straight to the control board did the trick. Good product and works as described.
