    The idea is good. The specs are good but in practice, I'd steer clear of this device. Why? 1. XPS devices have their thunderbolt port on the LHS. Given that the hub only has 50cm thunderbolt cable you'd think Dell would put the cable coming out of the RHS of the hub. Sadly, not! This means you either have to build something to use the hub on its side or accept that there will be many wires going over yoru desk still. 2. USB C seems robust but becuase of the short hub thunderbolt wire and the long plug housing, the slightest movement of laptop or hub causes a lever effect that over time damages the USB C port on the laptop or the thunderbold cable. XPS laptops have the USB C hardwired into the motherboard, meaning replacement of a cheap component would cost £hunderds. 3. Even with Dell ...
