Deceptive picture, the base is too large for 2 ports next to each other as shown, since it will block the other port. The seller doesn't take returns, so do not buy this unless you already have one and know that it will work. I pointed this out to the seller, who would not respond. Shipping was expensive and took longer than a week.

Nice little Tuner for Over The Air TV.

I've used these dual tuners with Windows Media Center to form an HTPC for a long, long time with great success. The tuner is as good as any TV I've ever owned. This HDHR4 replaced an HDHR2 which lost a tuner after at least a dozen years of faithful service. Mine sit in a closet with the router. Installation is as simple as plugging in the box (Antenna, network & power cables) and downloading and installing the HDHomerun software. It comes with the necessary connecting cables (LAN and video) and power adapter. Running their setup software finds the tuners (I have 2) on the network, updates their firmware (if necessary) and sets up the link to Windows Media Center. Great little product for what it does.

    Acceptable, but just barely.

It does what it purports to do - stream TV over a network. The performance in Windows Media Center is kind of flaky, some channels don't always work and the quality isn't as good as Hauppauge cards. The codecs used in the included viewer program aren't the best, but the same stream in VLC or WMC looks good. I got the unit because I never know how many pcie slots I'm going to have available and this box makes the issue moot. I'm not sure how well these will perform in Windows 10, Microsoft didn't do this company in favors dumping Media Center.

  • EASY-Plug it in and go to the website and download the software.

The tuners are more sensitive than the OTA tuner in my Dish Network VIP-722 add on card and get a channel that the other tuner cannot receive with a splitter on the same antenna. Fast channel change. Works great with Windows Media Center as well as ServerWMC combined with Kodi.

  • Cut the Cord

I already owned this product before and purchased for use with another computer. Windows Media Center (WDC) on Windows 7 can record or view two broadcasts at once. Signal reception is strong, better than my TV's with standard antennae. I have not tried to receive the signal wirelessly, the unit is connected through my router and is sent via ethernet to the computers. WDC is not part of Windows 10 and so I may have to see if I can use Kodi with a TV front end when Win 7 support ends.

  • Free TV a reality.

Great product for gathering up free OTA TV signals. Used with Windows Media Center HTPC to facilitate viewing and DVR functions and it performs flawlessly. It tunes as many channels as any of my TVs do and brings them in cleanly. Installation isn't quite plug-n-play but the instructions are clear enough. I'm tech savy and been using these since they came out many years ago so maybe it's not as intuitive as I think but anyone should be able to do it. A great product for someone with access to OTA tv near any metropolitan area.
