I Love it and Recommand it to.
Great quality parts and good product. The only thing is, that the cover once closed and clamped with the screws ... the retainers clipped on the box where that the screws fits is not scealed ...you can see throu littles holes ...( i put permatex scealer to solve the problem ) ....not a big problem but need to bee properly scealed. But it's the best that ive tryed so far and i recommend it at 100% The best for the bucks !!! p.s sorry for my bad english ;)Great quality parts and good product. The box doesn't seal at the lid retainer clips. They're inside the box, and the gasket is on the outside. The neoprene washers do not properly seal the retainer clips, either. The mounting stud holes have to be made yourself, on the plastic box that can only have them installed ONE WAY. Then, afterwards, the hold-down nuts are on the rounded shoulder of the box, instead of a nice, flat mating surface, which makes your studs point inwards, complicating battery installation needlessly. A little engineering goes a long way for quality. The install instructions are overly complicated. They only need a numbered, exploded-diagrams of the hardware, instead of 10 steps. Box to automobile: "Large Stud - Nylock Nut - Large washer - Car body - Battery box - Hex nut - install group 24 battery ... The box doesn't seal at the lid retainer clips. For the lid screws/clips: "Screw - neoprene washer - install retainer clip into battery box." The wire grommets do not specificy a size. If you're using neoprene-jacketed multistrand 600v wire (I.E. Flex-a-prene), The small grommets are for 1/0 gauge (.550" OD) and the large grommets are for 3/0 gauge (.660" OD). Since they only give you 2 of each, if you don't use 1/0 wire, your vent tube won't have a grommet. Also, the lid has clearance issues when using standard battery terminal lugs when using 3/0 wire. You'll need to use 90* wire lugs attached to the battery terminals, otherwise they rub the lid (at least they did on my battery). Also of note, this box should have 2 vent tubes. One that vents the top of the box, and one that vents the bottom of the box. This would greatly reduce vapor (hydrogen, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide) buildup. Also of note is that group 24 batteries are GENERALLY (YMMV) more expensive than their group 34/78 counterparts. GET A CHINESE ALUMINUM BATTERY BOX UNLESS YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SANCTION-APPROVED BOX.

well made exacly what i needed
I selected this item because my battery is not sealed and will be used inside the car (a hatch). Install goes well as long as you have the tools to install. Primarily a drill and step bits. Directions are included and pretty clear. Overall I took my time measured twice and cut once, my DIY battery relocation install looks professional.

Excellent battery box!
This battery box was exactly what I needed to relocate my battery to my hatchback. The only thing I didn't like were the grommets. I simply picked up some grommets from the local hardware store. All in all this is a nice simple box, and it looks great and does the job!
