Good Glass, Sharp Lens, and Good Value
Good solid and simple, small form factor. All manual, less to go wrong in the long term. Sharp and high contrast images and working very well for 2K video production. If you need shadow details, the high contrast is a big plus. The aperture ring is a bit recessed but not a major nuisance, as most manual lenses will be used in aperture priority mode or manual mode for walk around shooting. I have read reviews mentioning a large variability in quality, but have not seen this personally. I have several Rokinon lenses, and this is one of the best. No Rokinon lemons in my experience. I would like to think that many years from now, this lens will still be in use somewhere, and someone will be happy with the results. I like it.Good solid and simple, small form factor. Amazing street lens
I bought it for landscapes and it is great. Then I used it for an auto show - amazing. Now it is my go-to street lens. Sharp, high contrast, and if you like controlled flare it's just amazing at f/22 into the sun. I always have this lens in my bag. Always.
