Claudia arrives at his estate, bringing with her a creepy, intricately carved mirror. She has also brought along her mute brother (Miroslav Taborsky). It is not long before this eager stepmother and the wary daughter are locked in an endless cycle of jealously and hurt feelings. Reading into the deeper, psychological implications of this complex family situation, and the story's many symbolic elements (the poison apple, the outcast hermitlike woodsmen), the film is both visually graphic and emotionally subtle. Not for children, this SNOW WHITE is for thinking adults who enjoy more than one good scare.

Not a serious adventure but entertaining.
I found it to be an interesting twist on the Disney version of Snow White. I liked the fact that it was more ont the dark side. An updated version with improved CGI would be good.

We happened upon this movie by accident. Wow! This is not the Disney movie in any way shape or form! The main stars are Sigourney Weaver and Sam Eliot with Monica Keena. It takes place in the pre-renaissance era. This movie is very intense and not for children! It kind of brings in elements of Elizabeth of Bathory in a way with servants being hung in cages and a woman obsessed and possessed by her own beauty. Witchcraft and Satanic elements are hinted at somewhat. Although not overly gory there is some blood and guts so be warned. If you like suspense, a tiny bit of magic and horror this movie fits the bill in my opinion.
