Took my new fob to the dealership and was asked where I receipt. I told them it came with the car when I purchased the car used from the Mazda dealer. They were happy to hear it came from a dealership and took the car into the garage to program the new fob. Forty-five minutes later car rolls out, new fob in hand, fully tested by both managers and myself. Was always concerned there was no key provided with the used car we bought. The idescription with this unit mentioned it came with a key. It did, and I discovered it was stored in the fob. I took the unit to an automobile registered locksmith. A very short wait was rewarded with a key and fob ground and programmed for my car. Unfortunately my model Mazda has to be programmed by a dealer or automotive locksmith, but this unit was well worth the purchase.Was always concerned there was no key provided with the used car we bought. Programed in 5 minutes and works like it should.
Programed like it should and works good. Tried some aftermarket keys and they wouldn't program correctly (2 hours trying to make aftermarket keys work, plus another 1 1/2 hours deleting and reprograming OEM keys after all 6 slots got used up).
