    "Best of" type album of early hits

    If you love the early work of the Stones, this album is for you. Raw high energy stuff that ranges from the softer "Lady Jane" and "As Tears Go By" to the edgy "Paint It Black". Some transitional songs such as "19th Nervous Breakdown" and "Get Off My Cloud" set the stage for their later psychodelic songs. Excellent anthology of their eary years.

    The Rockin' and Bluesy Early Stones

    A fine compilation of the early Stones.There is a nice balance of fast and slow material.Lady Jane happens to be one of my faves. The picture on the cover is pure vintage Rolling Stones and evokes an interesting and formative time for the band and the good ole USA.
