NOt the best of Battlestar Galactica
Having liked the show from the outset, I own a number of different releases of this show, from the original as well as the later versions. This movie has a mis-leading title, weak story line, and the only actor from the original series that I saw was Lorne Greene as Commander Adama. It is interesting, but borders on boring some of the time; and it is nowhere near as captivating as the later version that was canceled due to pressure from Star Wars creators. In all fairness, I don't have the episodes in between this one and the television version, that would help connect the two; but I still found it to be a bit weak on the interest side.Having liked the show from the outset, I own a number of different releases of this show, from the original as well as the later versions. This story is based on Galactica 1980 including a combination of episodes ( the Galactica 1980 premier episode as well as the episode the night the cylons landed. It also has new scenes added to this episode. Also for all cylon fans this is the last episode featuring Baltar and Lucifer. I really enjoyed this episode when I first watched it. This is the perfect episode to add to your original Battlestar Star Galactica collection.
