I decided to buy this because I enjoyed the 1st few Tenchu games back on Play Station 1 and I thought that the Wii controls may make the game better. Overall it is a decent game. The controls a very easy to master. There is no point in the game where you need to point the Wii remote at the screen to aim at anything. I like the way you can blow candles & torches out to create more shadows for you to creep in. As you progress through the game you realize that it becomes more about perfecting each level, to get a better rating. The better the rating you receive, the more "Assignments" you open up. Assignments are "mini" levels separate from the Story Mode that, as you beat them with higher ratings, unlock things like artwork...etc. and even teach you moves and techniques. It really is challenging and should take you a while to perfect the levels. It is pretty much like the older games, just looks better and has cooler controls. If you enjoyed the older games you will probably enjoy this one as well.Read full review
This is not Tenchu. Sure the characters are there, but the sneaking up and overhearing the guards tell their tales of that itch they can't seem to get rid of, or the common "Nice Night" right before you slay them is over is gone. You no longer find your own path into some kingdom, it is a set path that you take and come upon enemies. I thought at first dipping into bush shadows was a great idea.. until you pop out and wanna fight.. but instead.. you burst into feathers.. over and over again. Horrible. I bought and sold right away. Playing this game is time in my life I really want back. I will never be the same after playing this game..scarred for life. If you're a true Tenchu fan, I can guarantee your disappointment in this game. This game is not recommended
Love this game

Very fun game. Not like the rest of the series but I like alot of the new improved stealth kills not to mention the other new features. Controls can get sloppy at times for a hardcore gamer but for the average joe, you wont notice. About a 12 hr game for a serious gamer but a little tougher for average gamers. Worth the buy.
I love tenchu and the wii, but this is a disaster. Its to kiddie feeling, and way to much motion play where it doesn't belong. Even for the wii, the visuals are blend and rushed, the character movement is very strange and stiff. 0verall i couldn't play it after 20 minutes, its that bad. The new features are cool, but done badly, could of been a great game, if they combine tenchu-z, with this one.
