Note that this isn't the new remastered deluxe edition of Document. This is a old "extra tracks" copy of Document with no remix. The New Document is still in the works and should be available soon. Now for this product. The new mix of finest worksong sounds amazing. It's very lively and sounds abit spacey, like you are sitting in a small apartment with R.E.M. playing around you. Last Date has some nice piano and soft smooth guitar work and feels like something you would play relaxing on a balcony drinking a gin and watching the sun go down. The One I Love live is acoustic and very personal. It sounds like it was in a small club. Time after Time live sounds like it was in a big auditorium and oddly the sound feels like you are behind the band and they are playing away from you. Maybe it was a positional mic. It's very quiet and sounds like some early quiet Pearl Jam mixed with murmur era Stipe. Disturbance is very loud and clear and sounds just great. It also seems to be acoustic and very personal as if you are in the room with them. Finest work song mix is a alternate of the original and feels like a NIN vibe abit. These extras really do make this edition amazing. I would highly recommend the extra tracks, however remember that the real deluxe edition is comming and may have even more with REMIXED original tracks.Read full review
