Formerly imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, Rockford now makes a (meager) living as a private eye living in Malibu--in a mobile home. With an irreverent wit and frequent beatings that separate him from other detective characters of the day, Rockford remains one of TV's most memorable men. This release includes all 22 episodes of the fourth season, for which Garner won an Emmy. Guest stars include Robert Loggia, Larry Hagman, and Rita Moreno. As a bonus, this release includes a special episode from the fifth season with future MAGNUM P.I. Tom Selleck.

    You can never go wrong with this show. True acting, funny and serious rolled into one. So enjoyable. You can watch this show over and never get tired of it. So classic it transcends time forever. We love it.

    The greatest television detective series ever!

    The Rockford files is the quintessential network televsion detective series ever produced. No other series hits on all cylinders with it's wit, action, drama and yes, comedy. Jim Rockford (James Garner) is a reluctant private investigator who seems to get in over his head more times than not. He tries to take the easy road out but always ends up in big trouble with highly connected underworld figures and usually gets his ass kicked in the process. Trying to live a quiet life of fishing and beach combing Jim ends up intertwined with mob bosses and political corruption. Even the simplest cases become entagled with connections to high powered criminals who wont take no for an answer.     My favorite show of the era, Rockford files is the perfect vehicle for James Garner’s style. It’s entertaining and well written, and represents a classic LA vibe that no longer exists.

    So great to be able to get just the episode/disc I needed

    I've always liked The Rockford Files, and I was looking for a particular 2-part episode (the first Richie Brockelman episode)--it was so great to be able to get exactly the disc I needed and not need to buy an entire season.

    The Rockford files ~ You can't get any better than that. It took me a long time to get Season 4 but it was well worth it. Hotel fear has to be the best show of the Season. I love Angel. I have watched it over and over again and laugh just as much each time I watch it. Now I have the entire series. My only regret is that the series ended. Rockford is the greatest!
