ELVIS CD - "Moody Blue"
It's great.......it's Elvis! There are 9 more songs on this CD, than on the vinyl album of the same title. The song selection is excellent, and shows the emotion and great range (about 2.5 octaves) of Elvis' voice. I've even had "non-fans" say complementary things about this CD.

I have always loved Elvis in the 70's. The 50's was rockin', the 60's was swinging, and in the 70's we saw a more mature Elvis. He sang more powerful ballads, with heavier orchestral overdubs. Recording his last studio songs at his home Graceland in 1976, they were some of the strongest he ever recorded. I really love Danny Boy, strong and powerful. And who can forget the hits Moody Blue and Way Down along with the brilliant Hurt. Please forgive me Roger Whitaker, but the way Elvis performed The Last Farewell is the best version ever recorded. On this CD, we also get recodings made live by the King in 1977. You gotta love Little Darling and the awesome If You Love Me (Let Me Know). RCA have omitted Let Me Be There for this release.
