    One step above a coloring book

    I was hoping for documentation and historical background, and was disappointed to find anecdotal information that will be dated in 3 years time. There is nothing in this book that will help a collector or researcher understand which tumblers came from a particular time period. This book only offers pictures of tumblers with a ballpark price from 2003. One could just as easily get this information on the web, and you sort of wonder if that is what the author did. In short, it is "A Book" on the topic, not "THE book".

    A great text for collectors

    I recently became a collector of antique glass tumblers and wanted a book that would give me information and illustrations that aren't too esoteric. This book is well organized, easy to read and chock full of colorful photographs and information. It is a terrific asset to anyone who is interested in learning more about these lovely works of art.     Newer book on older tumblers

    This is one of those books that you never see out for sale in bookstores. This book has tumblers that are from the victorian era through the depression era. A very nice book showing hard to find tumblers.
